Omari's portrait

The semester is almost over and for my final homework in my head painting class I decided to paint one of my best friends, Omari!

The concept of this painting began just before Halloween, I had in mind painting Omari but I had yet to decide the concept.

And so Omari's costume for Halloween was Venom from the Spider-Man universe, this costume was designed by him.

The pose for the painting is Venom holding the Spider-Man mask, in this pose I wanted to convey venom's victory over the web swinger in a sober manner, Venom coming out of the shadows means to me that he is taking the spot light as the main character in my alternate Spider-Man universe, just imagine how cool would be venom as the main character!

Finally I leave you with these two images one of the sketch and the second of the first blocking on the painting 20"x40".

I made studies again before attempting to draw the final sketch. Also this time I use 2H, HB, and 8B graphite pencils.

I'm Still alive

Hello Everyone is been a long time since I post something, why? because I have been studying Japanese, that is my excuse but I hope I can post within a week again :)

The Drawing: I got inspired by my Girlfriend Charity here you can follow her bloghttp://jwonhong.blogspot.com/, we are doing long distance and she got a little jealous the other day, that made me think about jealousy and what can make you do and say to your love one, so I came up with this drawing, is the first time I draw something out of emotion and last but not least my other inspiration was a song from a movie called "PAPRIKA" here is the song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4M_3igofTZg
